    Meanwhile the trucks held together by duct tape are the ones still in business while the $200k truck payments guys are getting repoed left and right.

    So when I call a broker they see an mc that's been in business a long time and has done good jobs before.
    They have more confidence booking a good load with that than some new mc.

    Plus I get paid weekly and don't have to chase my money.

    I am only stating what I have seen the last 26 years I have been on the road. The scourge isn't the megas, it is the one truck wonders working for nothing. If you guys had any idea what the megas get per mile....

    Not trying to argue, knew a bunch of owner operators that were able to make a lot of money. But most of the dummies I see act like company drivers.

    I'm one of these. Guilty of all of the above. But my ignorance is worse. I was in such a hurry to buy a truck. That I bought absolutey the worse truck for New England.
    In my defense I got my Cdl to get my own truck. The really high rates at the time where a bonus and not the reason.

    On the exact same yes. But my coming up from company driver to o/o was one heck of a learning curve.
