The problem with your poll is that you are looking for advice. Unfortunately most (including myself) have tried one of the companies on the list. If you ae asking my honest opinion, I can only answer for the one I worked for and I am no longer with so my response is none of the above. I have heard good things for Roehl but they are hear say with no personal experience. I worked with Prime and would not recommend them. I would also not recommend Swift or Hunt or Werner for that matter but a poll like this will only give you thoughts, not facts.
If you had no other choices, which of these 5 companies would you choose to work for?

Thanks Englewood,
I am definitely looking for advice! I figure that if I get enough responses, either from truckers that I've sent a PM to or from truckers that just happen upon the thread, I'll answer a really important question for me and maybe answer a question or others in the forum.
Thanks for you reply. Be safe!

Can't vote for any based on NO personal experience.
-
But, can you vote based on what you've heard from other truckers who have been with any of these companies?

If I lined up 5 girls, each exceptional in one rhealm, (looks, figure, cooking ability, personality, and hair color) would you ask a group of strangers to pick your wife for you?
You need to look at all the pluses and minuses you can find about each company, and decide FOR YOURSELF!
MAN UP AND MAKE YOUR OWN CHOICE....then live with the outcome knowing you can change companies when YOU choose! -
I missed the purpose of this poll. If you are looking to see which company you want to apply to this poll is useless. Some like myself hasn't worked for the others. Also it doesn't explain some areas that while they may not like you could endure. Sometimes the only way to know a company is to experience them yourself. Good luck

May I ask why Schneider isnt in the list.
-
I've not worked for any of the listed companies.
I'd look into as many companies as I could and decide which company I felt the most comfortable with. Some companies have newer equipment, some may offer better hometime, some may offer better benefits, some may offer flatbedding while some offer reefer and dry van. Some travel up to Canada, some travel to NYC. Too many variables in my estimation, to get an opinion from everyone here. Do your research and pick a company (if they're even hiring) using your best judgement. It's not like you'll have to work for them for the rest of your career for pete's sakeJustSonny Thanks this. -
Thanks GypsyWillowDusk (cool name!),
The poll is a little bit self-serving in that I am looking for a company to go to once I finish driving school. But I've also read many threads from wannabes, newbies AND experienced drivers in which the poster wants an opinion about certain companies. Certainly there are plenty of drivers who have not worked for the companies in this initial poll. My intent is to get as many responses to this first poll as I can, drop off the "losers", add several more companies to the poll and at some point arrive at a consensus of opinion as to which companies are better than others.
I've asked for responses, primarily, from experienced drivers who have heard a lot of the good and bad from personal experience talking to other drivers who are out there doing the deal.
Thanks again for your interest,

Sorry don't know anything about any of these companies at all. OTR isn't my choice of driving, been staying home doing local heavy haul/over dimensional and off road forestry driving.
JustSonny Thanks this.
