Smart man. I pay to park my rig which the guy has 74 others paying $80.00 a month to park which brings in $6,000 a month.

If they didn't pay, i'm sure they wouldn't have access back in to park. For storage units, their contents would be auctioned off after 30 days without paying. Also, while on the road, I would find a retired couple to manage it. Since you don't have to be present 24hrs to run one.
Think about it, your not putting excess money back into trucking. Your in a business that if the economy goes down, people still need storage, if the economy is booming you still need storage. So when trucking slows down you still have a good income.

Sure it would...lotsa small towns with mini storage / parking lots for rent and I'd be willing most of em are at least 75% full. The best thing for a guy with a lot is the stupid town laws where ya cant park an RV at your home anymore, so they rent a space for $40 a month or so...I see lotsa those lots around smaller areas...

There's always two sides to every coin. In the area I live in there are no city ordinances or home owners associations that have spineless rules about what you can or cannot have in your driveway.

My local storage place has truck parking for $95/month. Gate, lights , and cameras. . Its an old shopping center. They fenced in the lot for vehicle storage and have storage units inside the former grocery store and the former drug store.
I think they have 3 locations.
I saw a story on tv about a Texas family with a storage business and they were millionaires.

Wouldn't work around me neither, parking wise.
I park mine on the driveway, no retarded rules, live outside any city limits, etc.

I rent a space for mine, from a friend. But I have a nice steel shed to keep it in when I am at home, and when I am on the road my pickup stays inside out of the weather. He also has a nice heated shop to work on it, with almost any tool you would need, I can leave it in there in the winter as well if I want.
