They are not my first choices but I am starting to have problems with my first choices, such as not starting anymore training until next year (which makes me fall out of there hiring timeline) or not having a female trainer available and they only let females train females (and they also have a hiring timeline).
So with that said, Swift and Werner both are ready and available for me to start. So I know they are both BF companies but I want to choose the lesser of two evils. So please help me make a good choice for me.
So If you HAD to choose to work at Warner or Swift...tell me which one and why?
THanks

Six is one, half a dozen, the other. Pick the one who has a terminal closest to you if future home time is important to you.

As a werner enterprises employee I would recommend werner short term swift cons and pros
1. does have a excellent lease program werner doesn't
2. If you have a licence both will take you on a second
3. Werner makes it easy to get a dedicated account swift probably you are going to be over the road or regional for a good time.
4. Werner really do take care of their trucks but not so much about drivers "werner cares" can pretty much be the biggest lie in the industry. -

I went with Werner myself, it was good, I spent a month with them and then was offered a job with a company closer to home and took it. The month I was there was with a trainer because I had a 3 year break between driving jobs. While with the trainer, he was running Family Dollar dedicated, he spent a lot of time at home because we ran through his home almost daily. I would not recommend going family dollar dedicated if you have any issues at all backing a trailer, you will do a lot of it with that account. I had a buddy that worked for Swift, he thought it was ok. Crete might be an option, I did not like Crete when I worked for them, but I know a lot of drivers that do....have you looked into them? Keep in mind, you will hear good and bad about almost every big company out there...mostly bad....just sayin.
