schneider, or Roehl would be my first choices ahead of them. speaking as a recruiter for a company ( not any of the companies mentioned ) i judge a company by how many drivers i have call me looking to leave them. i dont get a lot of calls from either of those two

    No option C?

Both are large carriers, so they both get a lot of varying opinions. I've heard very little good about Werner. I've heard slightly better good stories about Swift.

Like another poster stated, see who has a terminal closer to you for hometime and to add, see which type of runs you want more. Regional, dedicated or OTR and who offers them in your area. Then I'd decide based on that info. Don't go by what a recruiter tells you. Check their website.

Roehl was my first choice but they are not training again until sometime next year (puts me out of there hiring time).

Naturally, someone couldn't read the question and went right off the tracks.

Werner OR Swift being the ONLY choices given, USXpress doesn't play into any logical rationale but... that's truck drivers for ya.

If I HAD to chose one or the other... I'd have to take Swift but only because I've seen some pretty nasty Werner equipment and have yet to see crappy Swift trucks. Wait a minute,... I think I see one now...

Either way, you're not going to make either one of them your home of residence or a career (unless you're pretty much stuck with no ambition at all).

Yeah, I guess I shouldn't have said that but... oh well. Now the Staff will accuse me of being insensitive and 'crude'... maybe they need to read all the warnings about both of them from people who've worked for them and leave me alone... (NOT GONNA HAPPEN).

I love you guys... even Werner and Swift drivers... I don't see them (too often) in ditches or lying on their sides anywhere. Can't say that for the trash haulers and Fed-Ex drivers...

...opps,... wandered into virgin territory... I'll save it for another post.

Given the choice between the two, I'd choose....:...the seasick crocodile!

+1, Swift is a better company in almost every way compared to Werner, but then again, that is a really, really low bar.

I am curious, how many people that have something negative to say about Werner, have actually worked at Werner, and what is the reason they say Werner is so bad.

I have experience with neither of those companies nor the trucking industry itself for that matter, however, there are more positive/success stories with swift.

That is why I would like to know how many people that have negative posts about Werner have actually worked there. I mean if they have a legitimate gripe, that is great. Werner treated me pretty good actually. Granted I only worked there a short time. I could sit here and talk negative about swift, or others by what others have posted, but I see no reason since I have no experience with them, now Crete on the other hand, I have worked for them and I have formed my own opinion of them.
