You are correct, I do not base my opinion on others opinions, I form my own opinion on what I myself know. I have heard a lot of bad about almost every company out there, and unless I can say for sure based on what I have personally experienced, I will not state what I don't know.
But that is why I asked the question, I am hearing a lot of negative bias about Werner, and others on here, I would simply like to know the basis of it. If it is simply word of mouth or hearsay, then that is all it is hearsay.
"Lastly, I'm guessing you've never said a good or bad thing about a product and/or company based entirely on other's opinions?"
If you HAD to choose to work at Warner or Swift...tell me which one and why?

With Werner refrigerated, you can get experience for later in your career. In your future, there is better money with a good refrigerated carrier, than with dry van.
Have you talked to anyone at Central Refrigerated? -
So far I am leaning toward Werner because of the Pet Policy but both are neck in neck for every other thing. Also I do have a friend who used to OTR for many years and I asked him what he thought and he told me Werner and he used to train for Werner. But I am still hoping that this week I hear from my first choice and I can get in before my hiring time expires with them.

Put both companies in a hat and pick one.I drove for Werner for 3 yrs,it's not the best company but what company is.You have to start somewhere.I would not reccomend OTR with Werner. You spend more time out in the North East then anywhere else. You do awhole lot of swapping and splitting loads. What that means is when you swap, you swap loads with another driver usually done at a truck stop and chances are you'll be waiting hrs for that driver to show upand by the time he does show up you have zero hrs to run which takes a huge bite out of your pay check.Splitting loads is you drop a load at one of their terminals or drop yards and then you wait hrs or not till the next day for your next load assignment and guess what you'll get a message on the qualcom to swap loads with another driver. So if you're not too worried about money and don't mind sitting then go to Werner. So when you get a good load, don't count on keeping it.I learned that long ago with Werner.Problem is Werner is a huge company and most of your swapping and splitting is to get a driver home.

We were in the parking lot yesterday doing our alley docking training & 1 of the guys saw a Werner truck & went over to talk to the guy about the company, & the guy didnt wanna talk about it. Turns out his trainer was in there with him. In my opinion, if the guy liked it, he would've gushed about it. He didnt hardly say a word. Just sat there doing his log. Take it for what it's worth I guess.
