Hi all..... We are looking at going to orientation with Swift, but we aren't completely set in stone, as of yet...I want to check out all of our options, first! A little guidance??
Heres whats important to me,
Company that will take new grads and do tuition reimbursement
Good CSA score
nicely maintained equipment and maintenance policies in place
prepass would be nice
good pay per mile
good team miles
benefits
being treated like a real person
no touch freight extra nice
no NYC if possible
Limited reefer and wiggle wagons, zero flatbed experience. I drove for 5 years but that was 13 years ago, so I'm considered a newbie again. So is my codriver.....
We both just finished school and have our CDL's....
If you have some personal experience or knowledg with a newbie/graduate company......

What part of the country are you in? there really good team companies, but you two may have to split up to get through training itself!, I would look around at the list online for team drivers. Good Luck.

Right now, we are in the NE corner of OK...Kind of close to Joplin, MO....But we are open to relocating almost anywhere, especially TX as I have family there and that's where I grew up! And thanks so much for your reply

I'd take chances with a ltl outfit first. Might get lucky. I never had wiggle wagon experience before I pulled a wiggle wagon. I worked for a company like one of those mentioned above for 5 months when I was 21. Never made a decent check and wasn't treated like a real person. Tried another one like them just to see if anything changed when I was briefly laid off. (11 days) Nothing changed. I'd stay clear of the above mentioned. They will destroy your dac. Your just a heartbeat behind the wheel with those outfits.
