Many people use a factoring company like D&S Factors. When you pick up the load you email them your BOL and you can get a 50% advance deposited into your checking account by 7am the next day.

After you deliver the load you email them your signed BOL and they deposit the rest of the money by 7am the next day.

I think the fee is 5%

Phew that's good thanks. If they didn't exist I probably would have started my own company offering that service lol. My dream of freedom has been renewed.

Quick question though how do they know how much the load pays? As an owner op do the bills show how much money is owed to you?

The rate conformation has the amount the load is paying

I always heard that when working off load boards you get paid "weakly".

I run for 30+ brokers and either have given them my DD info or I get a check in the mail. I have never once been stiffed and I would never ever consider a factoring company.

You will need to create a accounts payable spreadsheet that you can enter all of your info on to.....then no need to pull out old rate cons....just look at your sheet and see who owes what and by what date.

I understand and that's fine with me. I have paid off equipment and decent savings so i can afford to sit around for a few days. I rarely go bellow $2. If I've been sitting for a day, I'll go down to $1.80 and that's it. I refuse to take anything less, that only tells the brokers that it's ok to go that low. The brokers know freight is low where I'm at right now so they try to take advantage of that. Eventually a shipper gets pissed off that a load isn't moving so I get the price I want. I've never had to sit anywhere for more than 2 days like this.
