A year is fine at most entry level places I’ve seen.

    Btw what do you pull?

Once you get started and driving in the oilfield then typically oilfield experience will outweigh OTR experience on better paying/higher positions.

Did pneumatic tanker for a year.
Six months reefer madness. Employed there now.

Got pretty good situation in reefer.
I live close to Gillette Wyo. and Dickinson ND.

The pneumatic sand outfits would hire you in a heartbeat.

    Beat me to it.

Never ran one of those so hopefully someone could possibly chime in on some good companies if you would want to go that direction.

I’ve ran sand boxes in the past. Easiest. Job. Ever. Period.

Gillette, no clue never worked there.

Dickinson in my experience isn’t too bad. Seems to be a good bit of work but I’m further north in Williston. A lot of places have offices in both.

Boxes are easy peasy. We run em (taking off this frac giving the trucks some lovin)and i personally hate them. More and more otr trash flocking over to sandboxs with their cascadias.

You can still do a lot better than general freight

On a 22 mile frac we get 375 TTT after they get their little piece. Weekends....we kill it then. Dont ask what company. Out in ohio if anyone is out there give resource Transport a call. I gotta find tje rate sheet but i believe on 47mi it was 546 but they had too many trucks on so we bailed

I applied with Plains through indeed. They have a water job in Gillette posted on indeed.
Filled out their little intro app. Wasn’t able to tell them I have pneumatic tanker.

I have more motivation now. Spineless Safety wouldn’t give me video from dash cam. Got a bs ticket for driving in right lane in construction zone. It was made to appear that the construction zone had ended.

My husband was a newbie back in 2012 and went to Basic Energy in Kennedy. I also thought Halliburton hires new drivers as well. You may need to make a appearance at these places and get a hold of a recruiter.
