Because at least one company wouldn't divulge their rates whole claiming to pay percentage. That's why I post that advice, because I learned the hard way.

Interviewed already. Two men on phone. It’s water. They were also interested in my pneumatic tanker experience. Asked if I’d be willing to switch back and forth. I got no problem there. Nights are ok with me.
I’m not worried on the money. I’m just starting in this. Know I won’t make what I can someday. Also know oilfield isn’t paying what it can right now. That’s all ok. Right now is plenty for me. Won’t be hurting at all financially.
I am rather apprehensive right now. Or maybe just anxiety? I admitted to them I love what I’m doing. The solitude is part of it. I get along well with myself. Know it’s a big change. It may very well be the best thing I could do? I am more inclined to want to work for a good company. Rather than being an O/O. Would rather handle things as if I’m the owner while im there.
Don’t know they’ll call me back? Did the interview driving out of Downtown Columbus. They knew I was distracted.speedyk Thanks this. -
Best advice? Ask who the top earner is and ask them what they would do in your situation. And don't tell anyone what they tell you. Talking too much is a bad thing out herenpok, Rodeorowdy, WesternPlains and 2 others Thank this. -
Don’t be worried or anything. They’ll call back, like LDL said.
A Class A CDL here isn’t much different than the big road. Because most need someone with one and not enough people want to do it.WesternPlains and speedyk Thank this. -
You guys were sure right. Offer today. Orientation on the 10th.
I’ve only heard about how low drivers are now. Gossip was one only had a third of the drivers they need?
Guessing fracking pumps don’t run if they don’t have the drivers?speedyk Thanks this. -
