    Looking for advice from the experts and need the help fast. Just got assigned to purchase two 7000 gallon tankers, fifth wheel style. Help me build the perfect tanker?

    We will be hauling transformer oil about 5-8 miles for bulk storage until we return it back and put it back in the transformer.

    New or used...?

    Used I’d buy a old gas trailer 4 compartment , 9200 or 8600 gals with current tests.....

    New I’d do the 7000 gal single compartment.....

    If its only going 5-8 miles then it doesnt need anything special. Just your standard 7000 gal stainless 407 trailer will do. Don't bother paying extra for disc brakes, air ride, or bag dumps. The only consideration is how you plan to get the product off (does each trailer need its own pump or will the tractor have it?) and if it needs to be rear or belly unload.

    I have hauled transformer oil from refiner to jobsite in a mc407. They had specialized equipment to unload it. Was pumped through that equipment into big transformers.
