Word of advice, dont team with your girlfriend unless your relationship is a good 3-5 years on and you have already been living together for at least a year and you have civil calm disagreements instead of shouting matches.

In a truck, there is NO getting away from them while you work, its a 24-7 surefire way to discover EXACTLY what you hate about them

If I was forced to team? Well I wouldnt be a truck driver. No way in hell I'm sleeping while ANYONE else drives, aside from maybe my Dad.

Whomever you chose to work for you will be forced to team with someone for at least a month probably so they can determine whether or not you are road worthy. That being said a lot of the trainers that mega’s have can barely handle the job themselves.
Team driving sucks. Girlfriend with you or not. Hard on your body and neither of you will get any rest to speak of. I teamed for years and would never do it again. I don’t care how much money it paid.

Forced teaming for any more than 12 seconds means I would continue the job hunt.

Yep. You’ll find out in a hurry whether or not it’s true love.

Firstly, no one can force you to team drive. You always have a choice.

Secondly, teaming with your GF will not go well if either of you want to spend much time 'together'.
Most of that time together in the truck will be working opposite shifts with different sleep schedules.
You might work the odd 34 together now and then, but it would be seldom.

Add to that the general stresses team driving does to most people...
