Hello all,
We are having an Ifta audit in NY. I have all the fuel receipts, bol, repair invoices, and details on all the loads hauled. Problem is I don't have logbooks, and odometer readings.
How bad is the situation and what do you advise?
For those who have had an ifta audit, how long does it take, and how much have you been fined?
Thanks

You don't have logs of mileage for each state? How are you filing ifta without that?
RedForeman Thanks this. -
Some quarters I have used the mileage from the gps (which calculates ifta miles for each jurisdiction).
Some quarters I have used the bol for origin and destinations and fuel receipts, and used the ifta software like trucking office to put these info in. -

How many quarters did they audit you? How long dot it take? Thanks for the input.

1Quarter took about 2hrs 16 trucks, start now and put it off so you can (get papers together) I had cert. mail telling when to make all logs MI. by state fuel rec.,they look at logs only to ck. each state mi. the bad part is they are ck. for all other st. in irp. so they think they are low paid but powerfull?

If the IRS can lose the E-mails that Congress demanded and not produce them, then we should be able to use the same arguement.
Excorcist1 Thanks this.
