    What is 97?

Answer: The number of miles on I-90 through Idaho.

    (or is it 93?)

Good thing I don't do OTR anymore.

How about going from SLC to Vegas and hitting that slice through the corner of Arizona?
Two things I remember, the no jake brakes signs and the casino I could never seem to take my 10-hour at.

Micro Management at its finest. I just did my IFTA Report off my ELD. Simple. Don't need all that micro management for an IFTA Report.

How exactly is that micro-management? For as long as IFTA has been around, we've been writing down odometer readings at state lines, and noting the route taken through the state, along with how many gallons we buy and where.

Micro-management would be the company telling you which route to take, along with telling you how many gallons to buy and where.

    BIG difference!

That ELD report is providing the exact same info, just without driver actually having to do anything. That ELD (especially the bigger "fleet management" type systems) is also providing additional info that the company's safety dept can and will use to micro-manage.

I was replying to this: "This day and age GPS your truck, I use www.quartix.com" from post #14

I went to quartix web site and read it. I don't know what you read from that.......

Yes, ELD will do that but the OP has driver who was not doing his job. For $20/month I would be glad to pay not having to call a driver for where he is, track the truck in real time, able to do IFTA report in 20 minutes along with many other tools to be more safe and efficient.
