    $650 for somebody to file for you is a ripoff. In TN, it doesn't cost anything to sign up and the stickers are also free.

    The fuel surcharge is a ripoff. I understand operators charging a surcharge to help cover the cost of fuel when prices go up, but the states aren't buying fuel, they are just charging you tax. The fuel surcharge some states hit you with is nothing more than an additional tax.

    Of the states we normally run in, KY is the most expensive, they hit you with a high tax rate, fuel surcharge, and KYU tax based on mileage. AL is the cheapest as they have a low tax rate.
