I put off getting my Illinois license for 4 years. I got my class a in California close to 35 years ago. I went with my 236" set forward axle 379, and 53' container. Needless to say with that 10' overhang, I crossed the lines during the skills. The tester gives me this "how do you back up without hitting anything?" I answered "A lot better than the drivers who learn how to pass the test by turning at this landmark whom you've passed here!"
So I paid to have the test done at some school and did it with a 48 footer.
IL/NC will not recognize a CDL from out of state?
