I have learned to love the e-logs for a couple of reasons. First, I love the hit a button and go instead of writing it all down. Also the e-logs counts minutes instead of every 15 minutes. I've found that this actually gives me more time to actually drive.
Laner99 Thanks this. -

Well so far for the first day of school is done...was kinda stressing a little about the pre work screen but no worries i passed it with plenty of room to spare on my heart rate...
I have Butch and Keith as my instructors...so it should be a good couple weeks...sounds like we are planning on getting into the trucks already tomorrow...I have to unlearn everything I learned about shifting as a younger me and everything I learned about shifting in the Army before they went to automatics in all the newer trucks...cant wait to get my shift on...I know I will need the practice.. -
I was originally supposed to start today also so I am jealous. August 15th is my new date. Good luck and keep us posted on your progress! I am sure I am not the only one hoping my hope to be coworkers succeed!

eLogs are nice, I had a driver show me the MCP 110 eLogs today. That was way better than the crap my company is running on peoplenet. So what does roehl do when you get on eLogs, do you get a new unit installed in the truck, or do they just activate the eLogs on your QC and get you some training?

YYou get a new system installed. Then a class which didn't really train you much. You run both E and paper for a while some longer some shorter. I was about two weeks. I know drivers that have had a month or more of both. Guess my fm has a little faith in me. Lol. I think the majority of trainers are on E logs so new drivers learn them. I could be wrong tho. (It happens now and again)

The e-logs are easy, there is no doubt about that. My only complaint is how long the MCP Unit takes to start up. You have to make sure the unit is running when you are ready to go.
