Delete the EGR. Costs less than a dollar and you get 1 MPG better milage.

there is also a rolling glider that has brand new rears.everything on mine is brand new except the block. I bought it off the lot and drove it home. no wait, no work. every accessory on the motor, inside the motor, and even the trans new. so really other than a 10 year old block, its brand new.

I didnt suggest a brand new emission truck, for that reason constant problems, but still they may cost you lost revenue in down time, but if your non warranty truck breaks you still loose down time PLUS the money to fix it.

I'm assuming this is to avoid the emissions laden new engines? Now I'm confused I thought Freightliner stopped making the Columbia and Century since the Cascadia come out?

Also it's strange because that is a Columbia but it has Century class gauges.

I only spent $30K when I bought my truck. Since then, I've bought the truck several times over every year. Heck, annual fuel costs alone add up to 2-3 times the purchase price...then add in all of the other maintenance & repairs....:biggrin_25521:

I did not read any if the other responses but here is my .02

i would look for a 94-00 model truck. One with a recent overhaul and good running gear. New tires, brakes, and other things like that. If you can't find one in that condition, I would purchase a 94-00 truck that has good maintence record for cheap. Then do an overhaul, new tires and brake, new seats and carpet and maybe a new clutch. Then hit the road in a basically new truck.
