Id go for sprint but im worried that it wont have coverage in rural areas in the midwest like verizon does. Unless im local only or dedicated ill keep with verizon. But the cost sucks

T-Mobile is worthless for people that run Coast to Coast or running around in North Dakota.
Running from New York City to Florida a couple years ago friend of mine only had service in a couple cities and was without signal most of the way

It could be different now. Everyone has expanded their coverage and you might need a new phone to see it.
Sprint has added 10,000 new cells to their existing coverage. Verizon gets better coverage with the s6 vs. the note2 phones i have.

Sprint did the same to me a couple yrs ago. I had unlimited everything and I went to ND and they shut my data off and told me I only get 1GB a month of roaming data.
Went back to Verizon happy ever since.

T-Mobile is completely covering ND from last year, but you need a band 12 phone. Like I said, during the last year, T-Mobile covered a huge amount of areas. Its not what it used to be 2 years ago. It seems like they are adding more towers each month

You can't convince the people, they're still in the dark ages and what service USED to be like. Not many have a clue about what service is like THESE days. Maybe in another 10 years we'll all have a better understanding of the newer coverages. But untill then, they insist on last centuries coverage.

Just to confirm what a couple others said, T-Mobile has in fact (link) done some serious expansion of their infrastructure over the last 12-24 months. I do believe that what your friend told you was true at that time. Not disputing your statement - just modernizing it for the readers. It is also true that 2 years ago their coverage envelope clocked in at a distant 4th place in terms of "the big 4." But as of today's writing, they have dramatically closed that gap. I have NO dog in the hunt on this one. But I am a data-driven type of guy. So credit where credit is due for those guys that I deservedly bashed for quite some time.

I would probably go with a t mobile plan if their service worked in my hometown. That is the driving reason why i stay with sprint. Thw next best for coverage is verizon, and the closest town is 13 miles away. So their coverage is horrible in my home

We have unbias'd services that are not carrier specific, that show the real story.

Click any carrier you want. Your only in denial if you can not see and respect who has the largest service area.

    Open Signal

This is a large sampling of actual mobile users on different networks.

You are missing the point. Nobody is saying that T-Mobile is better than Art or Vzw. Like I said earlier, I carry two phones, just because of how expensive the Vzw data is. T-Mobile can't compete with Verizon yet. However, I have been seeing it myself, they improved tremendously over the last year, they are not what it used to be
