In addition to dash cams lately I’ve seen a few trucks with side cameras mounted on the tractor fenders as a backup measure.NavigatorWife and Lepton1 Thank this.

just got a dash cam for the Rollback; and I'm thinking of getting one - to be rear facing from inside the cab.
If they're not on the phone, they're high or drunk. Being on the road a larger portion of time than the general population, it's only a matter of time until I need to play it back to prove or disprove something.
I use the turn arounds all the time, emergency vehicle and all, It is dangerous entering them, and also leaving from one, as you are entering and taking off in the fast lane - I always have the
blinding yellow light show running at those times, just so they don't run up under the rear-end.mjd4277 Thanks this. -
Actually? It was a closed Walmart in a suburb of Denver. The trainer had a copy of CoPilot that for the most part worked very well (version 5 I think at the time). Alas the place we were to deliver to must have had some government building as when ever we got near the destination CoPilot would tell us to turn around and leave the area. The trainer asked me to shut it off. So I muted it as I wanted to see what it would do at the destination (it really was going nuts). Even now if I try to google the location, google has the location painted as farm land.Lepton1, x1Heavy and KillingTime Thank this.

I'm in Rangeley (Dallas Plantation) alot, there's a dirt road that leads to one of our spring sites. About half way in you see a sign 'US Naval Training Site. Trespass Prohibited.' - Google shows it like it does the rest of Rangeley / Dallas: Trees. Lol.Lepton1 and lovesthedrive Thank this.

It wont be the first hydrant. Baltimore uses the wet version. Not the dry ones more common in the midwest.

Darwin strikes again.
I wonder what laws they'll try to implement to stop this "from ever happening again!" (Since the fact that it was already illegal didn't stop it from happening)NavigatorWife Thanks this. -
It's natural selection.

I have two words for you and everybody else out there: DASH CAM
I wouldn't drive 2 feet today without at least one. You really need three. -
Some folks think it's the end of the world if they miss their exit! I've have beat it in to my wife and kids head that missing a turn or an exit is not the end of the world!! As long as you have fuel you're not lost!! Find a safe spot to stop and figure out where to go from there!!! Never ever swerve to turn!!! And even though it wasn't the drivers fault that has to be tough to live with!!
mjd4277 Thanks this.
