@johndeere4020 , thank you. On five axles I can scale, at most, 100,000 gross. This limits me to about 63,000 max. With six axles, I can scale 120,000 gross. The combination vehicle would be heavier, say by 6,000 lbs, and that would let me carry about 77,000 or so.

Problem with a 4 axle trailer and tandem truck is getting the weight distribution right. Now it your going to stay around the 70,000 lbs or less you may get away with it and only need 6 axles.

Thanks. I think that 4 axles on the trailer would be over my head a little bit. But 3 axles would be perfect.

I doubt very serious you will be able to get axles wgts correct with trying to load 77,000 on six.
