Illinois -- 3 or 4 axle RGN trailer?

Problem with a 4 axle trailer and tandem truck is getting the weight distribution right. Now it your going to stay around the 70,000 lbs or less you may get away with it and only need 6 axles.

 

100,000 on 5 axles on Illinois? That doesn’t sound right.

 

Illinois has some crazy axle limits. It can be done on 5.

 

I’m by no means an expert but when I was in Illinois once the pulled in with a 777 Manitowoc on 7 axles. I asked and he said he could scale it fine. Id call the permit office and check into it further.

 

I doubt very serious you will be able to get axles wgts correct with trying to load 77,000 on six.

 

Interesting, I swear they told me 25,000 per axle. I’m not familiar with it enough to know however.

 

No more than 25,000, but limited to 48,000 on a tandem.
