I hit one curb during my time at school. Of course, that one time was during my road test. Just get back on that horse, keep practicing and you'll be fine.

Sorry to hear that. At least you have the pre-trip behind you.
There were 4 people in my class and I was the only one who passed on the first time. It happens.....relax and try again.It sounds like you know how to do it.....just nerves.

I finally passed.
I tried again a month ago in a work truck, so I didnt have to rent one, but failed. I missed my mark in the alley dock, again, by between 8-10". It was hard for me to judge the very end point of the trailer because I couldnt see it at all in the mirror. So I had to wait another month and today I went back and passed. After I passed the skills test I wasnt worried t all about the road, it was like a huge weight was lifted off of me. Now I have many more doors open to me as far as places I can apply. -
I'm not sure I could still pass the backing test. The one where you have to stop right at the cones with the back of the trailer.
In real life you are backing up to a trailer in a truck stop. Or backing slowly untill you bump the dock...

Hey Moe, I live in Des Plaines as well. Also, yes it is that one, though I didnt know the name of the street. I kind of always still call it Touhy/Higgins. The route is differnent now, btw.
