Last week I delivered in Murfreesboro, TN Monday morning, so I left the home Sunday afternoon. I then deadheaded up to Lebanon, TN and loaded 4 suicide coils for Neosho, MO. This set me up to deadhead to our yard in Ft. Smith where I loaded bar for Royal Oak, MI. I delivered Thursday afternoon, then deadheaded to Butler, IN where I loaded Friday morning first thing. I brought that coil home since it was going to the St. Louis area. Got a call, a driver needed a load swap to help him get home. He drove to meet me where I park the truck and took off for home. I was left with a suicide coil going to the Nashville, TN area for a Monday afternoon delivery. I'll leave out Monday morning sometime ... and I'm glad for the extra time home!

I had a student who came through our cdl school program. He said he went to NLR for Orientation, then went to cdl school, then came back to NLR for Securement Training.
SHOJim Thanks this. -
I went through orientation, maverick cdl school, now I'm in flatbed securement training. I will be done with securement training next Thursday. Then I get 1 week home. Then I get to go out with my trainer.
SHOJim Thanks this. -
Good luck! Stick with it and remember, your trainer is another step in the process. You will learn a lot of new ideas while on the trainer truck.
