....and oh yeah, its dark and creepy out at alot of these sites, you have work lights on your vehicle to see and i always make sure they work on my pretrip plus i have a flashlight and a helmut light, you will use them all constantly. I also use my flashlight and set it down as a target to back up to and make sure i inspect the surface or path iam going to be backing up to......trust me, you dont want to f up or get stuck because that absolutely drains the life out of you.......if it looks too muddy to drive on, then i'll hook up every hose i got to get to a tank or whatever, you simply dont take the chance of getting stuck it sucks.
....yep, been stuck and also jack knifed out on a lease road the other night, conditions are getting tougher now and its going to get worse i'd imagine this winter.
ok, see ya!
I'm a stone cold rookie, gonna work the texas oil fields

Here is the facts I got soo far... You have to do a Hazmat Threat Assessment through TSA. The cost is $89.25. You have to have a CDL before you can start the Hazmat process. I tried to put the cart before the horse and they shot me down. Anyways, its good for 5 years after you get it. If you have any charges against you in the past or current they may turn you down and they do not refund. Most of the charges that disquallify you are ones that are going to lock you up for 20+ years to life. The guy at the DMV here told me as long as you are not on parol/probation and have a reasonably clean back ground, then the wait will be between 2 weeks to 180 days. They gave me a 20 page booklette to study for the endorsement. I forgot to ask how many questions were on the test but I don't think its going to be over 30 questions.

Thanx for the info vegaspainter!! How much did it set you back for the Hazmat? I have been hearing different numbers from all over. I'll bet if you have everything ready as far as CDL in hand and enough info to fill out an application, you would be rolling in Sonora and Odessa/Midland in no time at all. I am not sure about San Antonio and Corpus. Rumor has it that Paul is a vegan, so I'll be taking that steak.

Yeah it was $90 for the fingerprinting for the TSA goons i did that as soon as i started school. When i finished and went to get my license i took the hazmat first they have an 800# to see if they approved ya yet. seriously just study the material the dmv gives you and youll be fine.im just thinking about san antonio and corpus cause i like the beach and fishing ive been in las vegas so long ive grown tired of sand with no water! Whats a vegan anyway? Is that a guy who likes his steak rare? lol

Hi Paul, Glad your doing well. Just a question about changing your license over to TX. Was it a pain in the arse? I read some states are really bad and you have to take all the tests over. I did'nt renew my hazmat in MA because I figured to do it in TX. I have a TWIC card. Thanks
