I passed! Got my CDL and finished the school. Feels good. Got it done before the snow storm hit.

Hey Vegaspainter, my lucky numbers are 3,8,17,23,28 and power ball 41. All I ask is that you remember me when you play them!!

It feels good to have it done, for sure.

My Christmas miracle came through yesterday. My wife's thyroid cancer surgery went smooth and she'll be home Thursday. Thank God. The last hurdle to me getting to work in Texas.

Merry Christmas to all of you and yours.

    God Bless.

Hey Paul, hope everythings good with you. You still burned out or did you catch your second wind? I've been following your blog (and now vegaspainters). Hope you're not giving up writing but if you're sick or running hard or both, I can see that you might not have the time. Hang in there man, and be safe!!

HI all, this thread has inspired me, time to jump in...

Had myself sold on ND, but am again having second thoughts about heading to TX to get some experience. looks like starting pay is about 500 a week better in ND than TX, but the cost of living and tax issues seem to almost make the difference a wash. My understanding is starting in TX, a motivated guy can do 1500-2k/week. This is based on people I've talked to and what I've read. Just looking for further confirmation if anyone cares to comment on TX or ND wages.

    Thanks

naw, not burned out, just sick and running hard and unmotivated to write and now i found out something that has made me sick to my stomach, i hear they are going to change the schedule back to a 5/2.....this means you can only get 70 hours a week in + you have to work 5 days in a row. That is not going to work for me, i think its ##### b u l l s h i t and i will quit for sure if thats going to be the case.

i am really down and upset right now, i worked my ### off to get to this spot and i was happy the way things were, i was getting 80+ hours in a week and runnin hard for 4 days and then a needed day off and then right back to it. I dont mind 5 days on or ##### 1 million days on but its bs to work 5 days in a row just so you only get 70 hours.

Thats the last straw, too much bs here. I'm gonna find a company that will let me run till the wheels fall off if this bs goes through.
