You gotta stay positive paul. Youre still making a lotta money even with only 70 hours, and if thats not enough you have 2 days off a week to look at other companies! Im sure you can find someone who suits your needs better in a short while! http://www.thetruckersreport.com/truckingindustryforum/images/smilies/roundies/biggrin_25525.gif

i dont see it that way, i can make more if i work more, youre right though, gotta stay positive and make adjustments no matter how much change is involved. I knew this but it doesnt mean i cant get pissed about it. I really came a long way in just 3 months and i ran and learned hard for a reason......MONEY.

So i talked to my supervisor and he said it was no problem for me to continue with my own schedule which is 4/1, 4/1, 4/1, 5/1.

Ok, so today is pay day with my new modified hour pattern that i took the time out to formulate, it basically makes me work 160+ hours every 2 weeks and i have no long or short check with this schedule. I got to monitor my hours and make sure i max out my 70 with the days i have to work. Some weeks are kind of tough because i got to put 15's in or start work at 3 so i can get 9 hours before midnight to maximize my over time before the pay period ends, its pretty simple but still messes with your brain because a shift is from one day to the next.

Ok, going to log into nabor's website and see how much i made.

Now that sounds like my kind of schedule! I once worked at a factory that worked 17 hours a day, 7 days a week so I can tell you, it's not for everybody. We had people passing out on the job, hallucinating, and freaking out after a few months of that. That said, I made good money putting in the time. Just realize you won't have a life or a wife outside of work lol.

    Hey Paul,

I've read your thread from the beginning, and I wish ya all the best. I myself, am looking towards hitting the TX oilfields upon gaining my CDL (my decision was due in part from your experiences), and was wondering if Nabors has a yard, or work available in the DFW area. I'd be ok with anything around Midland/Odessa area, but DFW area would be perfect, as that's close to family, and less of a commute/lodging issue.
