If McDonald's goes to $15/hr., many drivers will be right here with you."Hang - Man" and rockyroad74 Thank this. -
dog-c Thanks this.
-
I think you should go on their facebook page and ask what the deal is.
-
there are slow times for freight in different areas and times of the year, I never had to sit in Phoenix though for more than a day besides once when truck was in the shop.
But yeah we need to know more info, are you under a load now that just cant get delivered? No load offers? Mentor turning down every offer because he doesnt like the load? too many variables for us to answer your question...
oh and if McDonalds did go to $15 a hour thats still less than you can make a week in trucking....IF you get 40hours thats $600, I can double that....I highly doubt they will pass that, look how prices will skyrocket too. -
Call Joe Arpaio and tell him your being held hostage. He'll put them good ole boys in some pink panties and straighten em out. This is bull mess your going through right here. Un darn acceptable. Can't just go treating people any kinda way in this biz.

I'm not talking 40 hours of driving at xx cpm - I'm talking 40 hours of on-duty working time, as well as sweeping out trailers on off-duty time, sitting at a shipper/receiver on off-duty time, or any other 'off-duty but working' things a driver has to do.
And, can you really double that? Please explain how. -
-
Right, with only 40 hours of on-duty time?
