Shoulda done more research hand. I don't really have any comforting words for you. Its an ugly way to say it but its part of the business you are in. To find out answers about your situation ask the people involved with your situation.

    Yep. SWIFT is the problem.

If McDonald's goes to $15/hr., many drivers will be right here with you.

I think you should go on their facebook page and ask what the deal is.

there are slow times for freight in different areas and times of the year, I never had to sit in Phoenix though for more than a day besides once when truck was in the shop.
But yeah we need to know more info, are you under a load now that just cant get delivered? No load offers? Mentor turning down every offer because he doesnt like the load? too many variables for us to answer your question...

oh and if McDonalds did go to $15 a hour thats still less than you can make a week in trucking....IF you get 40hours thats $600, I can double that....I highly doubt they will pass that, look how prices will skyrocket too.

But can many truckers earn $600 for 40 hours of work?
I'm not talking 40 hours of driving at xx cpm - I'm talking 40 hours of on-duty working time, as well as sweeping out trailers on off-duty time, sitting at a shipper/receiver on off-duty time, or any other 'off-duty but working' things a driver has to do.

And, can you really double that? Please explain how.
