i went out with westerns trainer. i had to drive in the northeast first week. i thought that i did good in New York City . i didnt crash or run anyone out of the road. and all those toll booths that i dealt with. the bad roads up there. i made it through all of that with no problems, but the trainer was a smart ### from the beginning.everything i did was wrong. i tried to drive safely and all he wanted me to do was speed. now the truck would only run 63 mph but he wanted me to do that in all speed zones including 45mph zones. he didnt want me to stop at traffic lights, his words were they will move. then i was the one being called stupid every time i tried to be safe. i thought that it was safety first, oh well, anyway i finally couldnt take it anymore, he shoved me and i pulled the truck over. he went to running his mouth even more and when he shoved me again, i hit him bouncing his head off the passesger side window. i got out of the truck and he left. i guess i may have made a big mistake by hitting him but i could only be pushed so far. i made it back home finally hitching rides, couldnt get western to answer the phone. so should i contact them and request a new trainer or do you think that ive been fired? yes i had a bad time of it. all trainers are not this way i hope. well either way, im not gonna give up, i will drive a truck .

Read your policy handbook, there's probably something concerning that in there. You may be SOL and next time don't use hitting as a way to stop the trainers bullying, you call the company immediately.

i tried other ways,i tried talking it out, he just kept on.i did endure this for over a week before i finally had enough and only hit him once then so i thought that i was pretty patient about the whole thing. i know that i shouldnt have dont it, but at the time it felt good. but now i may be out of work. i tried to call the company when all of this started but couldnt get through and nobody returned my calls.

Trainees have problem with trainers all the time and visa versa. Most the time companies give them another trainer. But in this case I don't know.Hard telling what your trainer told your company.I have a feeling he made everything out to be your fault and the company believes trainer. Is'nt there more then one number you can call?

You were just defending yourself. The trainer shouldn't have taken a swing at you and shoved you , especially while you were driving on a busy highway. Western probably won't return your calls because they're afraid you're going to sue them because their trainer attacked you forcing you to pull over to the side of the freeway. Maybe you should have a lawyer contact them and inquire as to why you were attacked by the trainer while driving an 18 wheeler on a busy freeway and then abandoned 100's of miles from home.

Find a good lawyer in Nashville that specializes in work place injuries and violence. A couple of them in Nashville specialize in going after trucking companies. He might take the case on contingency and will take his fee out of what Western has to pay you.

Contact Bart Durham and another is Jay Stillman.

Western will probably settle out of court.

didn't consider the legal aspects initially but the man put his hands on br twice so defending oneself had to come into play.seek legal advice as suggested.send an email to the ceo, getting his addy off of the company website. how do you know that driving a 63 mph truck didn't finally set the "trainer" off? how do you get anywhere in a truck like that? I know, that's another topic.

if you desire to drive after all that, best of luck.you'll probably be alright-
