I made heavy jobs all my life, and nobody ever complained when we got payed the right amount of money, and we all get along. but the situation is really bad here at the moment, there was a 50% increase in the cost of living after we joined the euro, and instead of raising the wages they started hiring people from poorer countryes paying them less. because of big italian company that hire foreigners and lower the rates i make 600 euros less than last year. I am lucky if i get 1800 euros a month, but i don't live in the truck like they do, i pay a rent plus taxes and ll the bills, and i don't have enough money!!!! after 20 days i am broke, i need to go to the dentist and i can't, my car is falling apart and i cannot do nothing about it, of course i am pissed off!!!!, but it has nothing to do with being racist, i work toghether with many Rumenians and they are good friends of mine, the problem is this rotten sistem, not them

To help you comprehend the issues in Europe.

We have almost three quarters of a billion people in FIFTY countries. Thats 30% more people in less than half the area of North America and were not spread over so many far flung islands.

We are divided by a multitude of languages (google it...it'll surprise you exactly how many) and religions and many of the countries have regions who strive for independence or are fighting politically to retain their local identities.

You have two languages and 85% of you share one religion.

Now add into the mix a group of countries forming a club called the EU where its possible to move freely and get jobs in member states without restriction and then sprinkle liberally migrants from all over the world (africa, middle east, far east) most who have no entitlement to come here and you get tensions and problems.

We have an estimated 2m immigrants in our 62m population. 1 in 4 births in the UK now is to a mother not born in the UK herself.

This is a very delicate subject! Like you read in the message above, here, in Europe, on a small surface, are many countries, with different languages, different cultures, different religions, different nationalities (in most of cases, in the same country!)!
All these peoples are trying to live together now, in European Community (is a kind of United States, but more spicy! :biggrin_255:)!
Over all this, put some old mentalities, which some old peoples still have, or remains from the past (from the recent history - WW II)! So, now is not just spicy, is more like a pizza (no offence, italian guys, but, I think the pizza is a good example of general mixture, and, in my opinion, the most known food from all over the world! :yes2557:)!
Now, try to figure out by yourself, how many different points of view, we have here, in EU... and don't forget, how much time you need to accept black peoples, like your equals...
Noted, I didn't say yet, anything about economical differences between states!
Put this together and you'll see the picture of our effort to live together!

And the poop is hitting the proverbial fan more and more every day, all around the world! Hey, we could send Obama and Biden over there to "organize your community" for ya...what a deal, what a deal! We would even throw in Pelozi and Reid just to keep everything on the "up and up"!

So, you want to send Obama to us... you want this because Obama is a good organizer, or because you want to rid of him?!! :biggrin_255: No offence!

Well to be honest, can't say that he is really a good organizer, can't find anything that would either support or dispute that...but we would be more than willing to share him with you folks!

Fellow Truck Drivers you guys need to wake up, either you guys have been inhailing your own farts for to long in your rigs or your dispatcher has you brain washed. YES there is a problem here it's called money. We all love to drive and soke up diesel fumes but we are not getting what we deserve. It's not about immirgrants, it's about life, what do we live for? You built a house, started a family, have friends, raise the kids and go to work with good morales.
NOW, you sold the house, the car is falling apart, the kids are on drugs and the wife has left you for a forklift driver who makes more than you do. WHAT THE F&$! The golden days of earning big money in a big rig are over, fact. YOU decide what you do with your life, quit nagging and giving the rest of the world the fault, excluding bankers and managers everbody else is in the same boat as you are, struggling. I was not to long ago in Iraq working as a civilian contractor, hell, I meet people from all over the world and they all had one goal, to make more money to pay there bills, is it worth it? You are responsible for your own actions, you are on your own. Either some dumb ####### gets a lucky shot and takes you out with a mortar or you go home at end of contract happy and start all over. My point, you make of your life of what it is, you wanna change, then quit winning and start double clutching.

the basic problem of europe is simple, we have the rich countrys and the poor.
someone said that transports in europe are made by the east countrys trucks, that´s a bulls+t, they only helped this bad situation.
the rich countrys stoped their internacional trans because the drivers refused to work with low salarys, so the emergent countrys had better prices, it started for example with the portuguese companys (i´m portuguese), with lower salarys, cheapper diesel and the drivers didn´t care to spend weekends on the road.
At this moment there is a bigger problem, the eastern countrys, even lower salarys, their drivers stay on the road even months.
so the result of all of this is a sector were nobody earns real money, it´s only to pay expenses.
For those that have some years of road, i believe you remember of entering in a park, and 70% of the trucks were from the east, spending there days most of the times drunk.
when did started the fuel missing from our tanks, when did started missing tyres from our trucks, and so on, to have the best price for a service you need to cut in something.
at last but not the least, every citizen from canada and usa don´t have problems
to come to europe, you can not mix for example a canadian person with a ukranian, if they come to europe they are welcome by our governaments because they aren´t imigrant´s by tradition, it´s imigration between mexico\usa, isn´t the same think as canada\usa.

Welcome to "Globalization". This is what you voted for and now you suffer the consequences. The same thing is happening here, only at a much slower pace.
The Democrats are trying to impose a European style government (Socialism) into our system. People fell for it for a short time but once they/we saw the costs involved and the loss of freedom, we voted them out.
It's going to be much harder in Europe to get your financial house in order. Your government is too big, with large pensions being paid out which means more borrowing and higher taxes. Most Europeans expect a hand out, with cradle to grave entitlements and until the European learns to rely on his or herself, instead of the government, your situation will only get worse.
Call it what you want but what made America a great nation is the peoples self reliance and taking responsibility for their/our actions. What is making America a much weaker nation is people trying to impose your style of government (again...Globalization) on us.
We are fighting the fight...are you?
