I did not know I had to. This wasn't an issue with previous employers. My question is, why didn't they mention this when I first got on? If they would've brought this up, I would've just told them. I only put what was on my MVR report. I wasn't trying to cheat them. Since I know about this now, I told CRE and they said the same thing about why this wasn't brought up when I was 1st hired. I talked to my old recruiter at Roehl (the same one who helped me get hired) and even she didn't know about it, or that any of this was going on. This is definitely a hard lesson I learned from.

Let's be clear here. Roehl didn't fire you for not disclosing two not at fault wrecks. Roehl fired you for filing a workman's comp claim. They used the "lying on application" as a legal excuse to do it.
Do you really want to work for such a company? Also think of it this way. In 6 months you'll have 10 months in, At that point only need 2 more months before just about every trucking company in the world will hire you. No need to go back to a crappy comapny when so much is available.

The thing is, I didn't even file for workers compensation. I simply told them that I was going to get my arm checked out (burned my arm). That's when all of this started. I never said anything about workers comp, but I guess they just assumed I would try to get it.

I wish it was that easy. I've had quite a few jobs in my 1st year (Swift the longest being 9 months) so I'm doing this to show some stability. I wanted to show that through Roehl. I had absolutely no intention on leaving. I have to get my job history cleaned up so I can get better jobs in the future.

What's the 411 on the dollar store accounts? I've seen several people say don't do them (I won't), but what makes them so bad?

What makes the Dollar accounts so bad is the high likelihood of having a preventable accident (I have skills, but I wouldn't want to back a 53 foot trailer up to a Dollar Store's front door on a daily basis) AND a high likelihood of getting personally hurt dealing with the totes/rolltainers. Adding insult to injury, in the end the pay isn't much more than system guys doing no touch freight.

If you're looking at GP regional, look at Schneider as well. Compare pay packages and see which looks better. It's the same customer with basically the same loads.

located many times in tiny strip malls, or stand alone buildings in the tiniest of parking lots.

you can never be there when there aren't any cars in the parking lot.

the parking lots gets snow plowed and maybe de-iced if the contractor show's up before you get there.

some deliveries may be "street" deliveries

don't always expect any help unloading

i have always seen loads of trash loaded into the rollaway cages, making them heavier then the actual products ever were.

you will work like a mad dog, and the pay just ain't worth it......

I own a small diverse fleet, nothing big but I have trucks leased to other companies. I won't get into the other reasons, but needless to say, the trucks and drivers start with a new company next week.

I have gone back to 5 previous employers. I quit all those companies twice. I used to give benefit of the doubt’s and second chances. How young and naive I once was lol.

I would only do a dollar store account if I wanted the physical workout. You have to be great at backing and patient when the stores are open and customers are in the lot. You also have to deal with the incompetent employees that won’t help you do or move anything regardless if they are supposed to or not.

Ever walk through a Dollar General that didn’t have the aisles clogged with rolltainers from the previous delivery? The backroom is also packed with them. And here you come trying to deliver more. It’s not worth the hassle.

Family Dollar and Dollar tree use rollers and you touch EVERY box. And again you wait on the employees on the other end to take the stuff off the rollers. At least with DG you can work at your own pace. But still sucks.
