The simple fact you were drunk with a gun says a lot. In fact, that'd make the "drunk" and "idiot with gun" true, which I thought also made the "felon" part true. Perhaps it's not a felony everywhere to be drunk with a gun?

How was your driving ability "impaired" on the 1999 incident?

My family uses these roads, too, and I'd rather see 40-ton vehicles manned by those who show better judgement.

I haven't tried to call the number because I'm waiting on talking with someone in recruiting.

Here's the good news - Tonight I finally received my Rap Sheet back from the complaints I made to several weeks ago and have been fighting the Colorado Bureau of Investigations over - which is the discrepencies and problems with my report. They FINALLY correct the problems which required my Attorney, actual Court Documents such as filings, etc. and the proper reporting by the Denver Police Department.

My report now reads as follows - Wait - I'm going to post this in the thread by itself to gain my integrity back.

I'll be in contact with that number tomorrow - Thanks Again!!!!!!

For all of you who have reponded to this thread both positively and negatively I appreciate your time and response's, though I may not have been happy with all of them, they are still helpful. To this point I know understand that the Trucking Industry is a Microcausiam of our Society in which there are many different types of people, with many different beliefs, some who will forgive and believe in others while others are not so forgiving.

    For the Record:

Tonight I finally received my Rap Sheet back from the complaints I made to several weeks ago and have been fighting the Colorado Bureau of Investigations over - which is the discrepencies and problems with my report. They FINALLY correct the problems which required my Attorney, actual Court Documents such as filings, etc. and the proper reporting by the Denver Police Department.

My report now reads as follows:

    7/27/99 - Assault Menacing w/Baton (not a Felony)
    Disposition: Dismissed by D.A.

7/27/99 - Driving Under Influence Liquor (DWAI) (Misdemeanor)
    Disposition: Guilty Plea at Trial

    7/27/99 - Disord Conduct (Misdemeanor)
    Disposition: 1 YR Deffered Sentance

    7/12/04 - Arrest, Assault 2nd Degree (Felony)
7/12/04 - Arrest, Wapon Offense Prohibited Use Weapons (Felony)

    7/12/04 - Assault 2-Reckless SBI W/Deadly Weapon (Felony)
    (SBI = Serious Bodily Injury)
    Disposition: Dismissed by D.A.

    7/12/04 - Weapon-Prohibited Use (Misdemeanor)
    Disposition: Dismissed by D.A.

    7/12/04 - Assault 3 - Negligently W/Deadly Weapon (Misdemeanor)
    Disposition: Guilty Plea to Charge
    30:00 D Jail

I don't completely agree with the sentance I was given, and this may shock you - I felt that I deserved longer even though the Victim (My Mom), D.A., and Investigating Detectives did not recommend any Jail time. Further, the Investigating Detectives recommended "No Charges Filed"

The Judge how ever felt that I needed to spend some time in Jail - of the 30 Day Sentance, I served 18 Day's due to no Write-ups or violations of the rules.

Again - as I said earlier - I don't agree with the sentence, because honestly I felt it was MUCH to leanient for the the problem I caused, however this is what the Judge chose to give me.

If you read one of my earlier posts you can find out all the information surrounding the incident. If I'm in a 40-ton vehicle the issue would not be a question nor problem since I've not had a drink since 7/12/2004 (Surprise - the same day as my last incident.)

You will still have a hard time getting a job in most cases, not impossible, but hard. Less than 5 years on the 2004 incidents. And if the Company you hire on goes up in Canada, will also be a problem.

Good that you the right track now, good sign, but you are still questionable with the time frame. Most require 5 years, others require 10 years, and others none at all. What we do in our youth, can and will haunt us in later years.

I had to go back and read this thread and see if you wrote what I thought you did. You said that you were a former law enforcement officer in Denver and you have this kind of rap sheet at only 36 years old? And you say that you spent 10 years in the military? My question is how in the world did you qualify to be a law enforcement officer with that record? Is Denver's standards that low??? And I know the military standards are not that low either. When did you fiond time to be a cop or a member of the US Armed Services? Sounds to me like you spent most of the last 10 years getting in trouble. Then 10 years before that in the military? What kind of law enforcement were you in Security Guard or something? I guarantee that you werent a cop with that rap sheet. Then I notice that your mom was the victim? You are real sorry man, your real lucky that I dont know ya. Plus, I hate to tell you--but gun crimes are federal and they have a minimum sentencing, so dont come around here trying to get one over on us.

I agree. I have heard it said that if you are down to choosing Weiner, suicide is an alternative.

    Good luck,

Your funny - You have no idea who I am nor do you know anything other than what I've told you. Just to square-away everything I'll put it down.

    Graduated High School in 1990
Went into Boot Camp in 1990 and turned 18 while in (23 days after High School Graduation.)

Left Service on terminal leave 45 days prior to my ETS and attended the Police Academy while on thermnal leave - 1999 (so not quite 10 years of service, but very close)

Went to work in 1999 for DPD and I left the Traffic Division in due to my DWAI (know I know this doesn't help with everything, so please let this be - if you knew how many Law Enforcement Officers were out driving after a night in the bar you'd be shocked. It didn't help that I was pulled over by a neighboring PD - Aurora PD.

So there you have it - I'm not pulling anything over on you.

And instead of being a S#*t-House Lawyer maybe you should check the laws - Gun Law's are not all Federal unless they happen within the Federal Governments Juristiction such as a Bank Robbery, or anything that happens on Federal property. All incidents involved a firearm are state issues and fall to the States District Courts. If what your saying was true than perhaps you might want to begin a campain of your own to get the people who are locked up in State Prisons transfered to the proper Federal Facilities.

I can't stand people like you who think they know something and really only pull stuff out of their Arse. And as for your statement "Your glad I don't know ya" - if you did you wouldn't do anything because you would know me. I'm a Family Man with a wife and 3 kids - just had my 3rd and he's only a few weeks old.
