Just my opinion, I would definitely not run teams, especially starting out. It's absolutely awful, at least it was for me for the very short time I did it. The only advice I could offer is train at a non company school if you can, and don't team. Best of luck to you.sassy_southern_trucker and Heavy_Load Thank this.

It is a completely different animal.sassy_southern_trucker Thanks this.

Sounds like you already have your mind made up in spite of some very experienced people trying to give you advice. If China comes on, listen to his suggestions and the suggestions of others. There's multiple companies that do not require you to pay anything.sassy_southern_trucker Thanks this.

So you allowed you're employer to decide what dr you should see? Really?
I never have had these problems, maybe it's cause i would never expect or allow my employer to be my parent. -
Workman's comp, you have to start out seeing the company doc or they won't cover it.
Just my experience.TequilaSunrise Thanks this. -
When I tore my shoulder on landing gear they sent me to the best around and exactly where I would have went. As far as my physical therapy I could choose from a list that was basically was 2 full pages.
Oh I also had a RN case worker to make sure I was done right. -
Sounds like he may have been the same one that a student had over at Werner not too long ago that was saying the same thing: He took a dump in the truck, or almost all over him in the truck. Details aside, it's a total crap (no pun intended
) shoot on who a newbie is going to end up with as a trainer.
I cannot blame someone for trying to go with the Watkins Shepard route if they can. I might go that route myself actually. From what I understand, it is just 2-3 weeks at their own training facility and then you are out on your own. In your own truck. Learning things by yourself in the real world. And not having to worry about being #### on. Literally. -
That's a far different scenario than 'i have no choice but to see the dr my company wants me to see".
Not the way it works. They can request you see their preferred dr but they can not force you to, and if they try to deny the workmans comp claim over your choice of dr you will own their ###. Denying workmans comp over using a different dr than the "company man" would be a lawyers wet dream. The most they can do is make you get a 2nd opinion.TROOPER to TRUCKER Thanks this.
