Candidates with Reefer experience will be given preference. A Valid Passport is desirable, but not required, except at the Syracuse terminal.

MVR standards:

• Maximum of 3 minor moving violations within the past 36 months.
• Maximum of 2 serious moving violations as defined by the Federal Regulations within the past 36 months. Serious violations include speeding.
• Maximum of 2 minor accidents or 1 major accident within the past 36 months. (Accidents are subject to review.)

 

You'll have to broaden your horizons in terms if what you require. If your record is sketchy, you can't be choosy. If youe offered an opportunity, grab it so you'll be able to hone your skills and earn money while that accident falls off.

The issue is going to be with insurance, which is why it is a red light to transport companies, now perhaps a way around it I would suggest is offer to pay the extra premiums the insurance are going to charge and see what happens.

You may find a smaller company could be prepared to pay the extra premiums again as a show of faith I'd offer to pay for part of or all the extra premiums, larger companies shy away from this because of the costs involved e.g if they hired 500 drivers and had to pay an extra $200 premium on the insurance that's an extra $100 000 off the profit margin.
