2008 was 15 years ago and positives were not reported to the clearinghouse as they are now. Since you are not required to go back past 10 years I recommend you ignore the positive and see about getting a job. I also have a suspicion your biggest problem is getting a refresher because 15 years is a long time and your CDL is stale now.

What you call a mistake needs to stay in the past! Don't use substances prohibited again. The stakes are much higher these days with the clearinghouse.

 

Abilene Motor Express hires with a long gap in driving, even 20 years.
Maybe @JohnBoy will advise.
As @Moose1958 says, maybe don't mention the SAP since it wasn't in effect at that time.

 

Just don't mention anything about what happened 15 years ago. Find a place to do the refresher and move on.
