Congrats on getting your license. Can I ask if you passed on your first try? I'm starting school in Feb and terrified of the test.

I say try and get on with a local outfit if at possible. A company with a terminal close by will afford you greater flexibility as far as home time. Basically starting out you may find that only the larger outfits will consider hiring a student driver. I think Millis is based out of Black River Falls Wisconsin but I really do not know if they are any good or not from a drivers perspective. I think they accept trainees though.
Perhaps an internet search for Minnesota trucking companies will be a good starting point. Best of luck to you! -

I agree if you can get a local or regional it would be ideal. but schneider isnt too from you and neither is davis transport if youd like to try your luck at flat bed. 320 hours is one heck of a course. mine , and most ive heard of, way only half that. keep smart , drive safe, and always look for that horizon.

My course is 320 hrs you spend alot of time on manuvers, then classwork, going to the park to shift then driving city and highway. It is long and you could get out with 6 weeks of schooling then going onto on the job training.
