    Hi Everyone,

I'm a newbie, live in Los Angeles, drive a Jeep Wrangler, and have grandkids.

I'm about to become a student. I'm new to this; in fact although I am approved to start classes I have yet to begin and haven't signed any paperwork yet. The training I've chosen is with College of Instrument Technology (CIT) in Bellflower, CA. If anyone can review this company and give me a heads-up, I'd appreciate it. Like I said, I haven't signed up yet, but will do so by next week. I just don't want to make a huge mistake getting started, so if anyone has any info that isn't good, I need to know it.

I'm a total road-warrior, and will probably get more rest driving OTR than I do on a regular road-trip, lol. Just drove to DFW a week ago - 18 hours straight, took care of business for two days and at the end of the day turned around and drove back.

A long time ago, I moved across country and drove a rented moving truck. I really loved driving it. Now I realize there is a lot more involved in driving a tractor/trailer OTR, and that I am going to learn. I just don't know why I didn't start doing this before now.

Looking forward to learning lots on here!

    Hello and welcome!

There is a student section somewhere in this forum where folk review their schools, if you can find ti there might be useful info there?

But welcome anyway, keep posting and tell us about your training!

    Roadrunnergal Thanks this.

Welcome aboard....If you do get into trucking, forget about being "superwoman". You'll need rest when driving, not non-stop ventures to far away places.
