You need to get to the bottom of this ASAP. He wouldn’t be the first to fall into the ADV temptation trap. Easy access to cash can be a dangerous thing.
    Good luck.

Hopefully it’s an error and nothing else. I’ve seen guys burn through their check before payday and it sucks.

When I managed a terminal, my road guys and especially the teams rushed in everytime the came to our yard with a fist full of receipts to cover the cash expenses against their outstanding com check advances to limit the possibility of a negative balance paycheck as the unpaid advances came out first.

The one team the younger guy did all the expense/advance money and would make sure the advances covered were close to the same time periods expenses leaving a couple slips 'not in the payroll pipeline yet' sitting in the petty cash box.

It is eazy to get behind, having the advances available on the fuel card more so.

I suspect that they will not be back and we'll never learn what happened.

SORRY guys!!! I'm OLD, FORGETFUL, and BUSY as @$%^#$%^.. (with several exclamation points). No excuses, and I'm sorry to keep you dangling.
NOT sure why they would code it ADV FUEL for what it turned out to be, but whatevs.. Apparently this stems from himself finally having the idler on this 300+K Kenworth quit all together and them routing him back near two weeks ago to York NE to get it and the (whatever that climate control thing that runs the AC while you are downtime is called). He didn't get his receipts for the room turned in in time. according to them and this will be BACK in the next check.. There has already been several 'honest mistakes' and I've read of many payroll involved things similar in the reviews in here, so I have a certain amt of skeptical.

He was on the phone with Payroll first thing and this was how they explained it, so we shall see. I will not comment on having a truck 'ready' for a driver when it clearly wasn't. It still wasn't as busted as the worn out POS that the pumpkin people issued us.
    PS Mr Thyme.... NYEAH.
