Thank you all for your very positive feedback! I like that my idea was well received. I also like the idea of prepackaged food, that's definitely much less "suspicious" than a home cooked meal although not as tasty!

I had planned on contacting Love's owners or management and let letting them know my plans, and I was going to leave the six-inch stilettos, mini skirt, tube top and bunny fur half jacket at home when I did this!!!

"Just Passing By", you had me confused for a second with your puppies comments. When I said I rescue "little guys" I omitted something: I actually rescue snakes! Mostly corn snakes, but all of the ones I do rescue are non-venomous. And I am deathly afraid of dogs, believe it or not!

Thank you all so much for your kind words, I really do appreciate it. I think I will start collecting some packaged foods that aren't readily available on the road but are easily transportable.

You have all given me something to think about, and definitely around the holidays I will make sure they all get something extra special. And by "extra special" I do NOT mean the bunny fur jacket and tube top!

I have to admit, I am not the most patient driver on the road with "numpty" drivers (one of my favorite words) but I am extremely patient with truck drivers. My sister and I were driving one afternoon and she made the comment "I never would get mad at a truck driver. They are just out there doing their job". That mirrored my feelings exactly, and if I am ever driving with anyone and they get a little impatient towards a trucker I pass on my little sisters wisdom.

I know that I possibly would object if I saw you in a fur bunny jacket and tube top. No bunny jacket needed. LOL

Lol. Sorry. I myself have six dogs at home, all rescues. Some picked up on the side of the highway. My bad.

We're being compared to rescue animals, snakes no less rofl.

I've never felt like a throw away person but appreciate the gesture.

Wow it's funny I was just thinking about something like this today. Would if there was an app that shows participating people that live close to truckstops who would bring a portion of whatever they were cooking for dinner that night to a trucker. It's a far fetched idea but in the app you could see postings of what people are cooking and be able to choose. As far as payment I would easily and happily pay 10-15 bucks for a good portion of home cooking. For this to work alot of people would have to be like you and unfortunately majority of people just hate that we're in their way most of the time.

We never felt thrown away. You make the best of what you have. The last years of trucking was essentially a cornucopia of luxury with too much of everything except time.

If you do this, have someone nearby watching your back.

I don't have anything to add to what is already added to this thread.
