My father, may he rest in peace, couldn't spell his sibling's names. Hell, I'm surprised he could spell mine! He was severely dyslexic, and his father refused to buy him the 1/4 thick glasses he needed when growing up. The result of this was that he was put in the "special ed" classes and then he quit school at 14. Buggy65's spelling and grammar is about 100 times better than anything my father could ever, EVER do!

But you know what? Despite not being able to spell his way out of a paper bag, my dad was extremely logical and intelligent. He owned his own crab fishing boat in Dutch Harbor, and skippered it (and many other boats) for decades and decades. He needed to know a HELLUVA lot more than any one of you ever needed to know to drive a truck. He kept more detailed records and logs, read more complicated maps than any of you have ever had to, did more math in a season than many of you have ever had to do in your careers, could build and rebuild bigger diesel engines than what's in your truck, work with more complicated technology, administer emergency care, comply with way more laws than any trucker has ever had to comply with, and was responsible for many more lives in much more dangerous situations.

So put that in your pipe and smoke it.

 

That's all well and good, but he's the exception to the rule then.

People need to learn how to communicate effectively.
It grinds my gears because this is a big problem in our society.
Its embarrassing when people from 3 rd world countries can spell, form complete sentences, and speak better than many do here in the States.
It's just pure lazyness...IMO
I mean...at least TRY, he wasn't even trying.

By the way...I quite "smoking" years ago, it kills brain cells. Perhaps you should consider doing the same.

It's not a mistake...you completely butchered the English language! I normally don't care. I'm far from perfect myself, but even the title to your thread mispelled " sure"....seriously??
I gotta share the road with someone unable or unwilling to spell " Sure" ??!!
How do I know you can read " stop" or " yield" ...or " no right turns"....catch my drift??

Oh..you can curse all you want...but it only shows up as ######'s....sooooo you know, it's not very effective.
