Quick question about orientation. I did my phone interview yesterday and have orientation set up in Charlotte on the 6th. I guess my question is on my application i clearly put down my past criminal convictions and such but the recuiter never made reference at all to it should i be worried about being sent home or have they already conducted background check and im good to go

That's a good question. I would think they did all they gotta do by the time they schedule orientation. One thing I had heard about them is once your scheduled only things can mess you up are the hair drug test and you suck at driving. I think your okay. But all you gotta do is ask the recruiter flat out.

Thanks for the input. I awnsered everything truthfully and left out no details cause i refuse too lie about my past indiscretions I was young and made poor choices and I believe my work record reflects that for the past ten years. Just would hate to waste there time and my time just to get sent home even though i was up front about it.

SNI doesn't strike me as a company that would miss something like that on an app so I wouldn't worry about it. They consider you an employee as soon as you show up at the OC so I agree if you have a orientation date you're good.

As long as you pass the hair follicle drug test that is. A lot of people don't know about that and they get a rude surprise cause hair drug tests go way back.

Hi... How's the physical side of the orientation? I'm concerned about the agility test they give for females. What do they exactly have you do and how much weight did they ask you to lift? Was is tough? And also, did they assigned you to a female trainer? I read from this website that Schneider has a lot of female drivers and trainers. Is that true? Is the company good to their female drivers? I noticed you started this post back in May... How's your driving? I mean... as a female, how's the life on the road and what can you say being with Schneider? Oh, and btw... do you know if they allow pets in the truck? :)

I'd also wanna be an OTR driver, but I haven't started anything yet. Still need to go to CDL school, but with the stuff going on right now and winter is approaching... maybe I'll start inquiring after the winter. I read with Schneider's website that they have a truck driver school here in town, so probably one of these days, I'll stop there and check it out. I'm just hoping that Schneider's hiring from here.

Thanks for offering to answer some questions. Be safe out there!
