Boss, if I understand the Hand Book, correctly, there are to be NO modifications to the truck whatsoever without appropriate approvals.

I gotta call BS on this. I have a 2013 and while my OnGuard has slammed the brakes on me before it was never hard enough to cause me injury. If you truck stopped so fast it caused bodily harm there had to be some other malfunction. Even when it does slam the brakes for nothing, stomping the accelerator will override it. If you are paying attention it takes less than a second to hit the pedal and stop it from controlling the truck.
According to company policy? No. They want you to use those power studs on the dashboard behind the CB mount.
Now, I'm well aware of all the interference and noise in the trucks power system and how much it sucks for the radio.
But there's always the policy of what they don't know can't hurt them.
If you decide to do it, just make sure it can be undone fast if your truck breaks down and you need to take it into a shop where they might call you on it. -
It might be because you have the Onguard second generation which they say doesn't do that. I have the onguard first generation and the first time it did this the people at freightliner said it was an alignment problem. The second time this sensor acted up the screen went blank and I injured my neck and shoulder. That's the last straw with me. I say drive at you own risk and If you get a truck with this sensor, drive extra carefully on bumpy roads, hills, and curves, which I noticed this sensor mostly act up on.

When you get your truck after you pass everything, make sure it's CLEAN! It don't have to be spotless, but it should be decent enought that your first impression isn't "eeeeeew!" A lot of schneider drivers aren't very big in cleaning out their trucks when they leave the company. When I first got my first truck it took me four hours to clean it. One of the trucks I turned down because it was infested with ROACHES. If you do have to clean out the truck save your receipts for the cleaning supplies because they are susposed to reminburse you.
razor ripper Thanks this. -
I was looking at a GALAXYDX98VHP and it runs 200 Watts. With that dash mount terminal. It might blow the fuse every time I truck to hook it up. I'll try. If
Not, I'll just stick to a 4 watt

The dash post fuse is 25 amps and the max on the watts is 200. That fuse is for the CB and the Quallcomm. As long as your radio isn't above those numbers it should be okay.
BossOutlaw88 Thanks this. -
It's not. Thanks

It's right at 25 amps and 200 watts.

If the company workers actually log on here, I'll be on some trouble. Lol!

I believe it's Roehl, not Crete.
