I don't want to increase my chances of dieing anymore. A lot of people don't realize how dangerous driving is now days. I'm just going to be a wood worker and be happy. I don't want the stress of truck driving anymore. To many idiots and jackballs on the road.

Yeah, people are too busy doing something else instead of driving. Don't even now what they are driving into until it's right in front of them.

Today is my last day as a over the road trucker. It's be a very difficult time for me. I was kinda forced into this job in the first place due to the oilfield crash and living in a very small town in Wyoming that has very little to offer in terms of good paying jobs. My OTR career lasted only a year and a half.

I'm now cleaning out my truck and will be moving my family back to florida. I hope to get a job building boats again, something I did 13 years ago before I had any kids. Now I have 3 kids, the oldest being 12. Man time really flies by. Anyway it's be a long strange trip for sure.

I'm not going to be negative about my time as a trucker even though I could go on and on about how much I didn't like it. Trucking wasn't all bad. Trucking gives you freedom like no other job that I have experienced. I got to see places I would have never had the opportunity to see otherwise. For this I am truly appreciative for.

I will say although that truckers are some of the hardest working people on the planet but also some of the most underappreciated people on the planet. Truckers work there butts off for not nearly enough pay or respect. I will never look down on a trucker because I know what they deal with every day, something that nobody can understand unless they have been there.
