All a driving company care for is that they can qualify you for their insurance. No tickets, accidents, and no criminal background = hired at 90% of the jobs. Having a break in experience is the only issue but someone will hire you. My company fired a driver for log violations and getting belligerent with dispatch and a company like Old D hired him. Why did they hire him? What I described above. There's a big need for qualified drivers which is lucky for you.

The best part of this thread is that it has "I'm perfect" as part of its title.

Someone should start a thread entitled "I'm perfect, except for a very bad criminal record" or "I'm perfect, except for a very bad drug problem". Oh wait, we already get those. Just worded differently.

That's a change in Roehl's hiring policy then. I had 28 years continuous work history with the same employer, no disciplinary matters, no criminal history, no drug use, no driving citations, suspensions or revocations or DUI, my CDL was slightly less than one year out of school with no driving. I took a 80 hr refresher (self paid). Roehl wouldn't take me unless I went through the school (200 hrs) again, preferably at their CDL course. If they'll take you, I'd recommend them - mostly good things I've heard about them (from Roehl drivers). Good luck.

I am an employer and if I heard this story from a perspective candidate I would ask them what the joke was and if it was funny I would hire them. I hate political correctness BS.

I hate PC also. Safe rooms for college students to hide in if the hear something the disagree with. It's no surprise employers like the H1B visa.
