I've seen truckers pass me on the right (in the case of passing two trucks with just enough distance to do so as I close the gap), flash their high beams (behind me), when I'm obviously passing vehicles on my right in the left lane. Be it I'm in a governed truck with Bendix. Do I ride in the left lane, no way, get over to the right. It's the passing lane, regardless of speed. And those truckers who feel privileged to own that passing lane because of their faster speeds are a danger to the public when they pull bone headed moves as I mentioned above. Courtesy goes both ways.

You need to put your Sarcastometer in the charging dock. It won't function well when the batteries are drained.

Nowadays I normally pull a flatbed or lowboy. With a nice, low profile load I noticed that the retina searing work lights the company mounted to the top of the headache rack function nicely as a high beam deterrent. A couple seconds of work lights and those high beams suddenly disappear and the driver rediscovers they have a throttle!

I keep saying that I'm going to install a driver-side, million-lumen "work light" for moments like that. Probably for the best that I haven't. D'bag would drive under my trailer then sue me...

I hate the idiots that turn their Ahole whites on in the back they specifically mounted just to piss truckers off. Like when you're trying to be curteous to them.

Eight very bright backup lights will soon end idiots who use high beams and follow me.

Its to the point in civilized areas that about 1/2 the cars and too many other trucks want to do silly things. Liquid doesn't like quick moves, and I like to maintain enough room to stop if I need to when the bonehead alarm goes off. It just seems safer to me to run the left lane and avoid the stupidity. If traffic is flowing, I'm usually at speed limit + 3 mph.

D.Tibbitt, Lepton1 and Fairweather Thank this.

Which one of you pressure cooker pilots gave me an ### chewing on the radio last week? Think i was just north of winchester VA in that quick state change cluster zone before PA on 81 late at night in a downpour and construction projects all over, plus a bunch of on/off ramps. I was in the middle doing whatever safe but reasonable speed i could see ahead for. 3 lanes with a left lane restriction and not a soul on the road except the truck behind me that'd been there a while. He starts talkin #### to no one in particular thinking im a radioless towelie. I said brother i got my radio on and you can talk a little nicer to me. Then starts yelling and cussing about the middle lane. I said are you gettin paid to drive my truck or yours? More nasty feedback, just insults and cursing. I said theres 2 blinkers on your truck and two open lanes on each side, use em whenever youre ready and shut the radio off.

I book loads that dont force me to run faster than i can see. His rush isnt gonna dictate my trip.

I know trucking is miserable on a drivers psyche but i hate the cruelty on the radio. I call out the bears and breakchecks and turn it off when it gets to be a whining platform. You think truckin is bad in america? Try a deployment to protect it.
