Ok, I'm 22 and i'm thinking of getting into trucking if I do i'll be a 4th generation trucker. My question is what is the best company sponsored CDL training program I know this isn't the best route to go but I can't afford it otherwise. So if I can get an idea of the best companies that offer this service from everyone i'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks again.

Driver Solutions and Roadmaster are CDL "mills" where they place you with a sponsored company that needs drivers in your area. I know P.A.M. Transport, USA Truck, and US Xpress use both of those. When I was looking what I did was Google, CDL Training School. Got me into Driver Solutions. Just know you'll be fed a bunch of garbage and empty promises, but they do want you to get hired on with a company and complete school or they don't get the referral pay. Recruiters are relentless man so be careful and choose wisely. No school is perfect, but then neither is every company.

Oh and your age may hamper you a little bit. Most companies don't hire anyone under the age of 23/24, so check around and see if anyone will hire you at 22.

Also make sure you have a clean driving record, etc.

Ive talked to the driver solutions company and they said that my age is fine and I have a good driving record. My dad thinks that these companies are shady but he says that if you want to get your foot in the door then go for it. So i'm trying to make a well informed decision.

There are a lot of things about the industry like the schools that suck, but we don't have much choice in the matter unfortunately.

That's good that you have a clean driving record, as not all schools are honest enough to tell you that things on your driving record can hurt you chances with companies.

Do a search at the top of the page for Driver Solutions. Just make sure you set it to search threads not posts. There are several threads about them that may help you out while waiting for others to post in here.
