Thank You! The truck is actually approved to collect funds for Jerry Reed's favorite charity: The Wounded Warrior Project. The man who owns the truck donates the money in Jerry Reed's name. He put his heart, soul, and a whole lot of money into restoring her but she sure looks awesome rolling down the highway. A lot of bandit runners have donated funds to help with restoration costs. We think it was worth every penny. The Bandit Run just keeps growing bigger every year. It is a fun event filled with wonderful folks. Rolling down the road surrounded by all those classic TAs is a real high. It's a blast from the past.

too many trans-ams, not enough trucks!

I agree... I think there should be a mix of Smokey and the Bandit I and II trucks, or close facsimiles. At least a few Jimmys.
Didn't you guys make it into the pages of Car Craft last year? -
We can't afford any more trucks. We can bearly afford the fuel for our gas-guzzling cars, lol. Now if you guys want to volunteer to come along, that would be great. We were lucky we found a volunteer to drive the Snowman truck.
The truckers we talk to on the radio always tell us they never heard of the Bandit Run. That is why I got on here to spread the word.
We have been in several magazines, newspapers, and news shows. This year we will have a couple of magazines joining us. We never know how much media attention we will get, but we seem to get a little more each year. -
The Bandit Run leaves Braselton, GA - Tomorrow AM
