I'm thinking of going to Carolina Logistics / Delta Express, has anyone else?

Does anyone have any 1st hand info on this company? I am trying to lease on but it's looking like they are nickle and dime'n the S#$T outta me already! Yeah they claim to give 90% gross, but 90% of what??? anyone on here delt with them before? I'd rather save myself a drive to NC just to say "No!"...This is an Owner Op position, 10 days out and they are taxing everything!

 

its a 2nd chance company. making you a 1099 driver. if you cant get a normal driving job. then you have to take the bottom stuff until it gets better for you.

Why did you choose them? Several of us have suggested smaller companies to other people. How close are you to mount airy, nc.? Would u rather a w-2. Than a 1099?

 

It was the only company that reached out... I am in So-Cal... nowhere near NC!...gimmie some that hire California Owner Ops.....Greatwide, Schneider, Crete said "NO!"

 

You’re going to have a tough time finding people to lease on CA residents because AB5 is up in the air right now.

That s above my pay grade. Good luck thou. Used to live in corning Cali. You keep that state. But in all fair Ness. I'm not a Cali native.

@Long FLD FLD knows way more about this stuff than I. But one question. Why hook up with the first company you applied to? Or had you been looking for months. And they are the first to say yes?

I only know Carolina-Delta from the Owner Operator end of it. I Love the place. Its an easy environment for me. I get the dispatch I want. I also love 1099 though I work for an Owner who is Leased to DELTA
