I'm tired of being over the road. Need a local job. Merry Christmas everyone!

As long as the apartment looks decent enough, I'll still take it regardless of the neighborhood. But it kind of helps when you already kind of look like somebody the goons will just glance over like nobodies business!!

I don’t know. I’m barely working 40 hours these days. I can’t complain about this local thing. Sometimes I do let the 1:15 nap go too long and I wake up tired and grouchy- but other than that it’s aiiight. ;-)

Daylight LTL linehaul. That's the business. If you're fortunate enough to be in a location that has daylight linehaul, you've got it made. All drop and hooks, no customers, nothing but driving. I could have $90k+ runs at night but pass them up for daylight runs - and I'm still making more than most OTR drivers and am home every night w/ two days off a week. It's out there OP. You might have to pay your dues running nights for a few years, but it's worth it. Took me only about a year where I'm located and I had daylight. Other places could take years, some locations only run night linehaul. All depends where you're located. But those opportunities are out there. Linehaul is tough to beat in regard to maximizing hometime and earning potential - throw daylight in the mix, and you're moving on up past the Jeffersons.

I second this option if you could get on. Especially a joint like ODFL or Estes. I'm about to give relocation a shot after not too long for either of those outfits.
