I'm too short to put the tarp on the flatbed

    It really depends on the type of tarps. The heaviest ones I used—surprise, surprise—were TMC's lumber tarps, which were between 120lbs and 130lbs depending on weather and time of year. I also used some 8' drops that were nowhere near that heavy...I guess it's all in the material, be it nylon, canvas, or some weird hybrid composite material.

    Couple of methods:

    Use a winch and strap to lift tarp up to deck.
    Place tarp on opposite side of winch. Wrap strap around tarp and winch up to deck.
    Or….
    Visit a Climbing store purchase a belay device and static rope. Explain what you want to do.
    Belay device will lock when you release tension on rope.

    Both ideas will get tarp to deck height.

    Try to visit an indoor climbing gym. You will see lots of examples of smaller bodies lifting larger bodies using mechanical devices.
