OK, don't take offence, but as a rookie your more than likely not going to find this with any of the carriers that will take you, Not saying you cant find it, but will be difficult, Most carriers that will take you will require you to be out 3-4 weeks, Going home after 7 out for a few days, is not profitable for the carrier, But good luck on the hunt for what your looking for?, Let me know if you find it

They don't disappear from your record but drop off on the MVR. A company can take in consideration anything above and beyond that three years and can do a full criminal background check which can include driving records. The minimal requirement is three years by FMCSA regulations. They also do not have to accept a DUI or DWI.

I actually think it will be tougher to get on with the bigger companies.. your best bet, if you have the time and diligence is to go for a smaller company.. however, again, it won't be easy and will require you do some foot work and face to face inquiries, interviews and road tests.. also, be prepared to be turned down a lot.. but, you will learn with each attempt..

There will be people who say it will never happen.. but, that is not true.. I just got on with a local company and will be trained by an O/O with 20+ years experience.. we are pulling reefer and I will be home every two weeks... Not always, but most of the time..

However, smaller fleet companies do not like bull ####.. don't think you will be able to pull the wool over their eyes or sell them BS.. also, character and the right attitude is important... They will work with your last history if you are upfront and honest with them.. but, if you are not they wont waste their time..

You will have to find them too.. they don't advertise.. they don't want a bunch of yahoos calling or wasting their time..
    Also, they don't do excuses..

It seems to me that you are wanting your offenses to be downgraded so you can sail right into a job you like. I'm sorry to tell you but the real world does not work that way. Do you really believe that a company is going to look the other way because you do not have "Reckless Driving" on your MVR? Everyone knows that 15mph over the speed limit is a BAD thing. Also if a company chooses to look on the internet about your "Driving with impaired alertness" they will see that you were driving a vehicle under the influence of alcohol and your BAC level may not been high enough for a DWI. That is also a BAD thing.

Just based on those two items I would check the companies BEFORE I did anything else. It's just common sense. No school is going to tell you that because they want their money. They could care less what happens to you after school. You may even get the so-called pre-hire letter which means they know you're going to school. That's all. They do not do any checking until you apply with them. That's when all the bad news will start.

I'm sorry for being the bearer of bad news but if it were me I would want someone to tell me like it is and not sugar coat the process. It's better to know now than later. Just be warned that these problems you have had in the past may come back and haunt you.

Thank you for your opinion and advice before but I did like you guys suggested and went in person to usx and ROEHL and spoke with them I took with me a mvr I got from the bmv showing my traffic offence and informed the I had a dui that was reduced with a copy the court ruleing they both gave me the all clear good to go not saying all the companies will be the same I was told no by maverick and NTB over the phone. As far as me just wanting to skate in to the job I want tho that not correct ill take what I can get to get the experiance. However keep in mind I'm also not in a spot where I have to take any job seeing as how my plumbing company was bought out buy Roto rooter for a large sum. I'm not going into trucking because I have to but because I want to as a retirement job as a my age I can't justify sitting around not drawing income. I've been working hard sence I was 13 years old my first job was covering graves by hand and mowing a cemetery.

Why not look into investment opportunities or something more lucrative than driving for a mega? If you have cash in the bank, it's not that hard.

Unless you're one of those "I've always wanted to drive" people, why bother driving if, with the proper capital, you have many more options.

My father was a trucker wile I was in my teen till he retired after 30 year I rember when I got old enought to ride along those where some of the best memories I had with him. I wanted to go into trucking when I got old enough but my dad want me to go to bussness school. An get a degree well I did that and also got my plumbing lesions. Started my own business built it up over the last 10 year and sold it for a nice amout of money so now I can do what I want. if it dose not work out it it just dosn't and I'll try some other avenue. I'm not sweating working for a mega or a small to meiudem I'll do my best work as hard as need.
